2003 TRIPLE-A ALL-STAR GAME - MEMPHIS Rochester's Michael Restovich finished fourth in Tuesday's Home Run Derby in Memphis, picking up a $250 cash prize. 2002 winner Brandon Larson of Louisville battled Albuquerque's Rob Stratton in the final round; Stratton unseated Larson as champ, hitting 10 homers to Larson's five. Stratton took home $1000 cash and a $500 Old Navy gift card. RedWingsBaseball.com caught up to Michael after the event. RWB.com: What was the best thing, and worst thing, about being in a home run derby? Michael Restovich: The best thing is making a fool of yourself and getting $250...the worst thing? I had never done a contest like this before, and it was a lot different than I expected it to be. It wasn't like batting practice at all, not with all the people watching. Just being up there alone at the plate was really strange, it was a really different feeling. But I had fun. RWB.com: If you had won the Old Navy $500 gift card, what would be the first item you would buy? MR: Actually, I won a gift card for being the (Rochester) Old Navy Player of the Month, so I've been in there. My wife has eight nieces and nephews, so I could have taken care of all of them for Christmas if I had won. RWB.com: The current Old Navy spots feature actress Morgan Fairchild; is she the most attractive woman over 40 on television? MR: Yes, she is very attractive, but I would go with Suzanne Somers. RWB.com: During your lowest moment out there today, did you find yourself thinking about Elvis? MR: Elvis didn't enter my mind until probably right at the very last swing. RWB.com: Did you think about Priscilla or Lisa Marie at all? MR: Not really. RWB.com: Priscilla was in "The Naked Gun" movies...would you say the scene where Leslie Nielsen sings the anthem, then tries to umpire, is the funniest baseball scene in the history of cinema? MR: That is a great scene. When you mentioned Priscilla, that movie was the first thing I thought of.
