Media Relations/Website/Sales and Marketing Internship opening: unpaid, January-April 2008 (one position)
Duties include player profile/stats for website, media guide and yearbook; basic yearbook layout and sales tracking; sales proposal writing and involvement with advertising sales appointments, client interaction; pre-season Media Day, Opening Day, and game day activities including stats, press box, game action and crowd photography. Will include basic training in Dreamweaver/Fireworks software. This position has been filled for 2008.

Red Wings Team Store
Team Store Associates - Main job is to provide excellent customer service to fans.
Prior retail sales is preferred but not required! Duties include: Being cordial & friendly, operating a cash register, having working knowledge of merchandise in the store, assisting fans on the sales floor, working a mobile cart with various merchandise, selling novelty items to fans in the stands, and assisting with checking in of merchandise.
Hours are generally 1 ½ hours before game time until the end of the game (4-5 hours).
Program Sellers - Main job is to stand at the gate area, as fans enter sell them programs and scorecards.
Duties Include: Having a loud voice to call out PROGRAMS, being able to make change for any purchase without a calculator, being able to answer simple fan questions in a friendly manner or being able to direct fans to Guest Services, and having some interest in baseball and understanding the products you are selling.
Hours are generally 1 ½ hours before game time until the 3rd inning. (2.5-3 hours per game)
Guest Services - Main job is to answer questions and explain contests and other game related events to our fans.
Duties Include: Having a good knowledge of the ballpark-(this is the information that will be given to you at the beginning of the season), being cordial & friendly, enjoy contact with the fans and be able to listen to someone even if they are upset, be able to understand when you can’t handle a situation and call your supervisor, have a working knowledge of what goes on during a game, (again, this info will be given to you at the beginning of the season).
Hours are generally 1 ½ hours before game time until the end of the game (4-5 hours per game).
