MIKE FLANAGAN Inducted July 19, 2002 Before embarking on an illustrious Major League career in which he posted 141 victories for the Orioles, he spent parts of two seasons hurling for the Red Wings. In his rookie season of 1975, he led the International League in winning percentage (.765), going 13-4 with a 2.50 ERA while leading the Wings to the playoffs. In 1976, this left-hander was a key member of one of the greatest pitching staffs in Wings history, as he posted a 6-1 record with a 2.12 ERA before earning a promotion to Baltimore. His 2.39 ERA with the Wings is the second-best all-time for pitchers with at least 150 innings. He was named to the Red Wings All-Century team in 2000. Coming soon. |
