FRANK HORTON - Inducted in 1998 Frank Horton served as the first Vice President of Rochester Community Baseball and teamed with Morrie Silver to organize the stock drive to buy the franchise and Red Wing Stadium from the St. Louis Cardinals. Succeeded Mr. Silver as president of the ballclub from 1957 to 1962, and was instrumental in securing the Baltimore Orioles as the new parent club in 1961. Left for Washington, D.C. to serve as a U.S. Congressman in 1962 but remained a loyal and influential supporter of the team, including serving as chairman of the site selection committee for Frontier Field.
