NUBS KLEINKE - Inducted in 2001 Right-handed pitcher Norbert “Nubs” Kleinke spent parts of five seasons with the Red Wings from 1934-38, compiling a 70-45 record. Kleinke spent parts of two seasons in the Major Leagues with St. Louis, compiling a 1-1 record with a 4.86 ERA in nine games. Kleinke still holds the record for the best start by a Red Wings pitcher, starting the 1937 season 11-0. Coming soon. |
