2007: Led Triple-A Tucson in wins (10)…Was mainly a relief pitcher until 6/23 when after that point, all his appearances were starts…In July, he was 3-0 in five starts while only allowing batters a .258 BAA…Was 7-2 before the All-Star break…Struck out at least one batter in every one of his starts (72 SO in 77.1 IP)…Had a 6-1 record on the road with a 5.70 ERA.
2006: Began season at Triple-A Tucson...had contract selected by Arizona, April 12...made first appearance on April 15 vs. Houston, his first Major League action since May 31, 2004 vs. San Francisco...optioned to Tucson, April 19...recalled May 2 and made seven appearances before being optioned May 26...recalled June 21 but did not appear in a game before being optioned June 22...finished the year with Tucson, posting a 4.40 ERA over his final 29 games...pitched twice during the Sidewinders run to the Pacific Coast League title, working 3.1 scoreless innings allowing just one hit.
2005: Spent entire season at Double-A Tennessee...appeared in 58 games, making two starts...earned his first win of the season on May 21, pitching 1.1 scoreless innings, then recorded his first save on May 27 at Huntington...was 2-0, 0.00 (11.2 ip) with one save in May...recorded a save in five consecutive games, June 10-17...finished June with eight saves, a 2-0 record and a 0.77 ERA...played in Southern League All-Star Game, July 13 at Mobile...led club in saves (19)...was third in Southern League in saves...played for Arizona Desert Dogs in the Arizona Fall League going 2-0 with five saves and 3.46 ERA.
2004: Began season with Arizona...made first career start, April 9 vs. St. Louis...lasted 2.2 innings allowing eight runs on 10 hits in a 13-6 setback...after a trio of no decisions, evened his record with his first Major League win, allowing four hits over 5.1 scoreless innings in a 2-0 victory over the Cubs in Wrigley Field...recorded his second big league win five days later in Shea Stadium, defeating the Mets 10-8...went 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA over his next four starts and was optioned to Triple-A Tucson on June 1...went 4-9 with a 6.88 ERA in 18 outings (15 starts)...was only 1-9 over his first 14 appearances for Tucson, then went 3-0 over his last four starts posting a 5.47 ERA.
2003: Spent entire season at Double-A El Paso...led the Texas League with 176.1 innings in his first full season at Double-A...posted a 5.50 ERA in his first 14 games, but rebounded with a 3.71 ERA over his final 15 outings...went 2-for-2 with a home run, April 9 at Round Rock..earned the league’s Pitcher-of-the-Week honors for June 16-22 (9.0 inning complete game allowing one run) and July 14-20 (two starts allowing just two runs in 16.0 innings).
2002: Began season at Single-A Lancaster...promoted to Double-A El Paso, July 26...did not allow more than two runs in his first four starts with the Diablos...tied for first in games started among all Diamondbacks’ minor leaguers.
2001: Spent entire season at Single-A South Bend...led Midwest League in innings pitched and tied for fourth in games started (27).
2000: Spent first professional season at Rookie Level Missoula...recorded first professional win, July 3 at Medicine Hat...tied for second in Pioneer League in games started (15).
PROFESSIONAL: Arizona’s sandwich pick between the first and second round of the June, 1999 First Year Player Draft...signed by scout Mac Seibert.
PERSONAL: 1999 graduate of Sulphur H.S. in LA…Married to Team USA star softball pitcher Jennie Finch...son Ace (5/4/06)...played for gold medal winning Team USA in 2004 Athens Olympic Games.
