2007: Played for Triple-A Omaha…Out of 11 appearances he made nine starts…Against right-handed batters allowed only a .230 BA and no home runs in 74 IP… Did not allow a single home run in nine straight appearances from 4/6 to 5/19…In the fourth inning of games he pitched, had a mere 1.80 ERA and allowed batters only a .222 average…With runners on and two outs, he did not give up a single home run and held batters to a .212 average.
2006: Began season with Colorado...won his first start of the season, allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits, with four walks and four strikeouts in 7.0 innings, April 8 at San Diego...was 1-2 with a 10.80 ERA in three starts for the Rockies before being designated for release or assignment, April 21...claimed off waivers by Washington, April 26...recorded his only other win of the season and had a season-high five strikeouts, May 5 vs. Pittsburgh...tied season-high 7.0 innings, May 11 at Cincinnati...made five starts for the Nationals, going 1-3 with a 4.73 ERA before being shut down following his May 22 start with right shoulder tendinitis...placed on 15-day disabled list, May 23...transferred to 60-day disabled list, May 27...underwent season-ending surgery to repair a partial tear in his right rotator cuff, June 6.
