2007: Started the season with Triple-A New Orleans and was a September call up for the New York Mets… Went 11-9 with a 4.27 ERA in 25 games, all starts with the Zephyrs…In 139.0 innings, he allowed 129 hits, 70 runs, 66 earned, with 44 walks and 120 strikeouts…His 120 strikeouts ranked fifth in the PCL... Won five consecutive decisions from May 13 to June 30… Opponents batted .244 against him in the minors, with left-handers hitting .230 (57-248) and right-handers hitting .256 (72-281)… Struck out six or more batters nine times…Tied a career-high with 10 strikeouts on August 22nd vs. Iowa…In that game, he took a no-hitter into the ninth inning, before allowing a single with one out…Finished allowing just one hit, one run, and one walk in 8.1 innings… Allowed three earned runs or less in 18 of his 25 starts… Pitched five or more innings in 20 of his 25 starts… Recalled from New Orleans to the N.Y. Mets on Sept. 1… Appeared in two games in relief for the Mets (Sept. 5 at Cincinnati and Sept. 11. vs. Atlanta), going 0-0 with a 3.00 ERA…In 3.0 innings, he allowed three hits, one run, earned, with two strikeouts… Made his first major league start on September 26th vs. Washington…Worked 4.0 innings, allowed six hits and five runs…Had a no-decision in a 10-9 loss. 2006: Started the season June 22 after having Tommy John surgery the previous season...made one start for the Gulf Coast League Mets, he worked 4.0 innings allowing three runs on seven hits...was promoted to Single-A St. Lucie of the Florida State League...won his first start June 28 vs. Jupiter...made just seven starts before he was promoted to Double-A Binghamton on August 1...made six starts, pitching 5.0-or-more innings in five of the six...posted a 1.57 ERA (23.0 ip, 4 er) over his final four starts before he had his contract purchased by the Mets on September 5...made his Major League debut in the ninth inning on September 24 vs. Washington...he worked a scoreless inning and struck out Felipe Lopez for his first career strikeout... tossed a scoreless inning in his second and final appearance of the season, September 27th at Atlanta...made one start for the Mesa Solar Sox of the Arizona Fall League...he pitched 2.0 innings allowing one run on two hits and struck out three.
