Played parts of two seasons in majors with Tigers (1994) and Twins (1995) . . . Batted .276 with 74 home runs and 428 RBI in nine minor league seasons in Tigers, Twins, and Padres organizations . . . Won 1995 Triple-A batting title as a member of the Salt Lake Buzz for manager Phil Roof . . . Was a star on both the diamond and gridiron at Georgia Tech University. .
