2007: Started the season at Double-A Tulsa hitting .298-11-33…got promoted to Triple-A Colorado Springs 8/12 and was 6-for-9 with two doubles, a homer and four RBI in three games for Sky Sox before the 8/15 trade for Ramon Ortiz...2-for-4 with two solo HR last day of the season 9/3 vs. Buffalo. Played for Arizona Fall League champion Phoenix Desert Dogs: 28 games, .257 (26-101) with two HR and 9 RBI. Started in the AFL championship game and went 1-for-3 with one run, one RBI, and one walk.

2006: For the 2nd straight season, Macri’s year was cut short due to an injury…fractured his left wrist on July 15 and was
placed on the disabled list from July 22-Sept. 11…prior to the injury, batted .233 (67-for-288) with 8 home runs and 35 RBI in 83 games…hit .241 (14-for-58) vs. lefties and .230 (53-for-230) against right-handers…posted a .972 fielding percentage (11 e/393 tc) in 81 games at second base…hit safely in 19 of his first 27 games at .280 (26-for-93), his highest clip of the season.

2005: Saw limited playing time after landing on the DL on two different occasions with a left wrist sprain (June
22-July 19, July 20-remainder of season)…batted .283 with 16 doubles, 7 home runs and 34 RBI in 64 games with
Modesto…recorded a 13-game hitting streak from April 20-May 2, during which he hit .385 (20-for-52)...hit safely in 17 of 20 games from May 14-June 5 at .349 (29-for-83) to lift average from .273 to .300, his highest average all season…after being reinstated from his first DL stint on July 19 was promoted to Tulsa and played just one game before re-injuring his left wrist and being placed back on the DL for the remainder of the season.

2004: Macri was named a Short-Season Class-A All-Star by Baseball America in his first pro season at Tri-City…finished 3rd in the Northwest League in average (.333), 2nd in slugging percentage (.569) and tied for 3rd in on-base percentage (.410)…also T3rd with 4 triples…batted .372 at his home park…went 4-for-6 with 6 RBI and just missed the cycle by a single on July 15 at Salem Keizer…after going 2-for-4 the very next day, his average sat at a season high .379…batted only .261 in August and did not play after Aug. 15 because of inflammation beneath the arch of his right foot…following the season, Matt was rated as the league’s ninthbest prospect by Baseball America.

PERSONAL: Matthew Michael Macri...2001 graduate of Dowling (IA) High School...attended University of Notre Dame and played 17 games as a freshman before undergoing “Tommy John” surgery on April 10, 2002...was named Second Team All-America by Baseball America, USA Today and Collegiate Baseball Magazine in 2004...led the conference in four offensive categories and was named All-Big East and Big East Conference Tournament MVP.

PROFESSIONAL: Colorado’s fifth round pick in June 2004 First Year Player Draft...signed by scout Scott Corman.
