2007: Started the season in the Red Wings starting rotation…had contract purchased by the Twins May 30…optioned to Rochester July 6…promoted to Minnesota September 3 and spent rest of the season with the Twins...Overall with Minnesota: 4-1, 4.73 ERA, 13 games, 11 starts…allowed 16 HRs in 66.2 IP but no HR over his last 3 starts...Named the IL’s Most Valuable Pitcher becoming the first Wing to win that honor since Mike Mussina in 1991...His 1.89 ERA led the IL and was the best ERA in the IL since Dave West posted a 1.80 ERA for Tidewater in 1988…was the 11th Rochester pitcher to lead the IL in ERA…was the 1st Wings pitcher with more than 100 IP and a sub 2.00 ERA since Mickey Weston in 1990 (1.98 ERA)...Also voted by IL managers as the league’s top pitching prospect and the pitcher with the best control in a survey by Baseball America...His five complete games (2-9 IP, 2-7 IP & 1-6 IP) were the most in Minor League Baseball and the most by a Wings pitcher since Josh Towers had five CGs in 2000...7-4, 2.58 ERA in 11 GS at home; 3-1, 1.04 in 9 GS on the road...16 of his 20 starts were quality starts (at least 6 IP and 3 R or less allowed)…went at least 6 IP in 17 of 20 starts…went at least 7 IP in 10 of 20 starts…did not walk a man in 7 of his 20 starts...Won his first three starts of the season…won five straight starts for Rochester May 15 to July 17…did not walk a man or allow an earned run over his first 18 innings of the season...Shutout Syracuse 1-0 July 17 (his line: 9 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0ER, 1 BB, 8 SO) …retired 27 of 30 hitters yet suffered a hard luck, complete game loss May 10 vs. Toledo (9 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER)…retired 20 straight batters at one point...In his five losses and five no decisions (ten starts) for the Wings, the Wings scored only 15 runs while he was actually still in those games...Made his MLB debut June 1 in Oakland getting a no decision (6 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 3 SO)…got his first MLB win in his second start June 6 at Anaheim (5 IP, 10 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 0 BB, 2 SO)…struck out career high nine Sept. 23 vs. White Sox (7 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 9 SO)

2006: Promoted to Wings September 11 after Donaldo Mendez was placed on Temporarily Inactive List... Began the season with Class A Fort Myers (4-2, 1.01 in 14 starts) before promotion to Double-A New Britain (4-3, 3.19 in 9 starts)... Only Red Wings appearance came in Game Two of Governors Cup Championship Series when he beat Toledo (7.2 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 S0)...started Florida State League All Star Game and struck out the side on nine pitches in his one inning...posted a 0.58 ERA (31.0 ip, 2 er) in five starts from April 24-May 16 and was named Florida State League Pitcher of the Week April 24-30...struck out a season-high 10, two times, including May 16 when he tossed 7.0 shutout innings and allowed just three hits vs. Palm Beach...was named the Florida State League Pitcher of the Week for the second time June 5-11...did not allow an earned run in his last four starts (28.2 innings)...made the start for the West Team in the Florida State League All-Star Game and tossed 1.0 inning striking out all three batters he faced...earned a promotion to Double-A New Britain on June 27...earned the win in his second start with the Rock Cats July 2 after tossing 7.0 innings allowing just one run...tossed a complete game (9.0 innings) July 15 to earn his second win...tossed 7.0 shutout innings in his final start August 13, allowed just two hits and struck out seven...allowed just two earned runs (15.0 innings) on the road...rated 10th Best Prospect in Florida State League and High-A Postseason All-Star and Second Team Minor League All-Star by Baseball America...played for Team USA in Olympic qualifying tournament in Cuba in late August and early September and went 0-0 with a 4.50 ERA in two starts in the tournament…started the championship game of the tourney against the host Cubans and got a no decision in the eventual USA win (5 IP, 5 H, 1 R)...posted a 0-1 record with a 2.37 ERA with 12 strikeouts in 3 starts for the Mesa Solar Sox of the Arizona Fall League...his longest outing came November 4 as he tossed 4.0 innings allowing just one run.

2005: Began season at Elizabethton...promoted to Beloit, July 1...Midwest League Pitcher of the Week, 8/1-7...went 2-0 (15.0 IP), with 1 BB and 15 K as Twins’ Player of the Week, 8/12-19...was 3-1, 1.85, 34 IP with 3 BB and 38 K as Twins’ Pitcher of the Month for August.
