WINGS LIMP HOME FROM BUMMER ROADTRIP The Rochester Red Wings were swept in a doubleheader Thursday in Columbus, losing 5-1 and 6-4. Jose Morales had two hits and two RBI, including a home run, in the second game. The Wings head home from an eight-day roadtrip with a six-game losing streak, and will look to turn things around with eight games at home beginning Friday night.

Twins RHP Pat Neshek left Thursday's game with elbow strain and will be examined Friday... INF Nick Punto (hamstring) was scratched from Thursday's lineup.

WINGS HEADED TO HALL; CARLTON FISK CONFIRMED The Red Wings will play the Syracuse Chiefs in Cooperstown May 18, part of the International League's 125th Season celebration. Hall of Famer catcher Carlton Fisk has been confirmed as part of the event. Fisk is expected to meet with members of the media prior to the Cooperstown Classic, and then deliver a ceremonial first pitch to begin the day’s events. He will also make a special appearance on both the Syracuse and Rochester radio broadcasts during the game.He will spend the evening at the private reception inside the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. The reception on Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. will give fans the opportunity to share hallowed ground with the Hall of Famer amidst the gallery of plaques. Members of the Syracuse and Rochester teams that play in the afternoon will also be in attendance and available to fans. Find out details on tickets in our Special Events section.
